Note: If you have information about any Albro, Albrow or Albrough who served on the Confederate side during the Civil War, please contact us! We only know of a Captain Albrough from Macon, GA.

The book Civil War MACON by Richard W. Iobst, Mercer University Press, Macon, GA, 1999, p.349, reports in regard to the march of Sherman through Georgia and the defense of Macon: "The Confederate force, which was placed on the crest and Eastern slope of Dunlop's Hill, consisted of the 1st Convalescent Regiment, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Brooks of the 15th Tennessee Regiment, the 2nd Convalescent Regiment under Captain Walker of the 16th Tennessee Regiment, and about 375 men from Captain Albrough's Company. The artillery units included troups from Curry's, Bellamy's, Guist's, Howell's, Palmer's, Rivers', and Captain Edmund D. Baxter's Light Artillery Companies, deployed as infantry. These men were commanded by Captain Albrough."
