b. Aldborough, Suffolk, England, December 24th, 1754; d. Trowbridge,
Wiltshire, England, February 8th, 1832.  Wrote "Inebriety" (1775); "The
Candidate" (1779); "The Library" (1781); "Tales in Verse" (1783); "The
Newspaper" (1785); "The Parish Register" (1807); "The Borough" (1810);
"Tales in Verse" (1812); "Tales of the Hall" (1819); "Variation of
Publick Opinion as it Respects Religion" (1817); "Outlines of Natural
Theology" (1840) and "Posthumous Sermons" (1850) by his son, in 1838.
