9P2L-X8) marriage in 1645 in Portsmouth; "Isabel Lawton" (AFN:
1M30-RGH); "Dorothy" (AFN: 1P0D-ZDL). Information about Dorothy
9P2L-X8 from seven page list of submitters. A partial list of submissions includes:

That Isobell Lawton instead married SAMUEL ALBRO, is in AFN: 17JN-Z7C,
17JN-Z8K, submission AF95-000921, AFN: 18Z2-XBQ, HG5M-95, 18Z2-XCX, 18Z2-XBQ,
GWPH-CG (where she is called Isabella Lawton), and three pages of microfilm
submissions (21 sources). The marriage was "abt 1675" in
all cases, with Samuel's date of birth "abt 1651" or
"1644/1645", Isobell's "abt 1652". Place of birth Samuel =
Portsmouth, RI; Marriage in Portsmouth. Isobell's place of birth is given as
"Portsmouth, Warwick, RI."
There are margin notes in the Wheeler/Potter genealogy page for iagmms claiming
that John Albro married Isabell Lawton in the Potter section, but that it was
Isabell Babcock he married, in the Wheeler section. This is how rumors get
started.

married Mary Staples 27 Apr 1693 in Portsmouth, Newport, RI. Mary Staples born
abt 1654 in Portsmouth. The Staples/ Stokes controversy has been described
elsewhere. The marriage date of 27 April, 1693, to Mary Stokes, Portsmouth,
Newport, RI is from IGI batch number A455223. He is listed as JOHN ALBROUGH in
IGI 2034557.

This may be the few John Albros
we've run into so far, but it is certainly far from all who have born that name!
We have several tree branches that dead end at a John Albro, and would love
