Ode to John Albro

This is the story of Albro, John...
who traveled far and journeyed long.
Aboard the Ship Francis he did sail,
it's really an adventurous tale.
In sixteen hundred and thirty-four,
he went where few had been before.
From Ipswich, England to the USA,
Massachusetts--Boston Bay.
Then on to Portsmouth he did roam,
a Rhode Island town, he made his home.
And this is where history all began,
with just one name and just one man.
He started a family with Dorothy,
and that led up to you and me.
For we are descendants of Albro, John...
who traveled far and journeyed long.
